Speed management
Speed management is usually the first
exercise performed in part 1 of the yard test. The driver is required to drive
in a straight line through speed censors on the road and must be within the
required speed limitation. Penalty points will be given for the following:
- Observation/mirrors/blind spots
- Gear changing/selection
- Moving off
- Loss of balance
- Controlled stop
- Stalls engine
- Disengage clutch
- Braking
- Speed for manoeuvre too slow
- Touch line
- Stop motorcycle on point āDā
- Lets vehicle roll
- Number of attempts
