Pedal cyclists are vulnerable: narrow profile, easy to miss in mirrors, and easily unsettled by close passes. Theory exams often link the Pedal cyclists (W309, TW309) warning to the correct action—slow down and stay alert over the distance the sign describes.

Read the cyclist and animal warning chapters in the Traffic Signs book, then reinforce behaviour in the Road Rules book (overtaking, lane position, intersections). Practise with Review Questions and the road signs cheat sheet.
