The pre-trip exterior inspection
is conducted in the yard and is the first step of your test. It is conducted
while the motorcycle is stationary where it is parked. There are 5 steps to
follow in the exterior inspection that the driver must conduct to avoid
penalties. Namely:

• Observe under motorcycle for
  obstructions
• Mirrors
• Chains not checked
• Tyres
• Fork not checked
