Overtaking to the left

Overtaking
is a very important procedure to know as it can result in many penalties if not
done correctly. The drive must always keep a safe following/approaching
distance. Ensure all road traffic signs, signals, rules and markings are obeyed
correctly. Always remember to check blind spots and correctly execute
observation technique. Correctly steer and position the vehicle towards the
left without moving any further than necessary for maximum visibility.
Penalties will be given for the following:

• Mirrors
• Blind spots
• Signal intention
• Cancels signal
• Clear space
