2. On approach, look left and right for pedestrians crossing or intending to cross.

3. Decelerate, if necessary.

4. Brake, if necessary.

5. Select appropriate gear, if necessary.

6. Proceed, if safe.

7. Stop, if necessary.

8. Observe, if applicable.

9. Move off, if safe.
