Moving off

The
driver is expected to check his or her mirror(s) and blind spot if applicable.
Observing and gear selection can be done simultaneously.
Maintain clear space behind vehicle ahead before moving off.
(Approximately 4 – 5 meters). Move off without lifting front wheel. During
moving off, the driver must not cause the wheel of the motorcycle to spin.
Maintain balance and place both feet on the front foot pegs as soon as the
motorcycle starts moving. Penalties will be given for the following:

• Observation/mirrors/blind
  spots
• Gear
  changing/selection
• Moving
  off
• Stalls
  engine
• Loss of
  balance
• Lets
  vehicle roll
• Touch
  line
